Homeowner Request - August 6th, 2023
I am requesting a meeting between the residents of Galt Commons and the acting HOA between the dates of 21-25 August 2023. I will ensure a mutual date, time, location, and assume responsibility for communication with all residents to confirm no later than 18 August 2023.
Preliminary topics of discussion: HOA covenants enforcement, budget, HOA committee upon handover, construction completion timeline, landscaping, pool/amenities, best practices to communicate issues with builder vs 210 Warranty.
Hoping that a direct and recurring medium of communication will reduce speculation, rumors, and concerns about return on investment.
Please let me know no later than 9 August 2023 if you are unable to accommodate the neighborhood's request.

I appreciate your desire for us to personally meet with everyone in one large setting. Unfortunately, after conversations with the HOA attorney your request is not advisable. We have years of experience with HOA's and that environment is unfortunately not productive. Because at the end of the day, as the declarant of covenants, everyone soon understands in that meeting that we can change anything, delete anything, or revise anything we want, with very limited to no recourse which negates all arguments for what we are or are not doing. This information just serves to further irritate those upset when they realize this.
The attorney's recommendation is not to engage in a group setting at this time. That will occur when the HOA is turned over and a board is elected.
